Sectoral Impacts
A global assessment of climatic data since 1970 has
indicated that it is likely that anthropogenic warming
has had a visible influence on many physical, biological
and human systems (IPCC, 2007). The observed impacts
can be due to climatic (temperature, precipitation,
humidity and so on) and non-climatic factors (land
use, land degradation, urbanization, industrial growth
and so on).
The following animation depicts the broad-level changes
in the natural and human systems that have been observed
due to climate change.
We will now discuss the impacts of climate
change on the following sectors.
Let us proceed to understand the first sectoral impact.
