The President of the Maldives and a well-known international climate change campaigner, Mohamed Nasheed, is an articulate voice for the weak and the poor facing the challenges of climate change. He is a politician who is showcasing to the world how a transition to climate neutrality can be achieved and how all nations, no matter how big or how small, can contribute to it.
He has been awarded several awards for his active participation in cultivating coral in the resort’s nursery and spreading greater awareness on the impact of climate change.
